On June 28 and 29, 2025, the Montedarena beach hosted the 1st Stage 2025 of the Apulia Cup – National Tournament Beach Series 1 Men. The event was organized by the sports association Amatori Volley di Pulsano with the patronage of the Municipality.
Below are the words of the Mayor of Pulsano, Pietro D'Alfonso:
"With immense pride, directly from the beach of Montedarena which hosts the 1st Stage 2025 of the Apulia Cup - National Tournament Beach Series 1 Men.
24 couples from all over Italy, ready to challenge each other on the sand to win precious extra points valid for the Italian Absolute Championship.
A top-level sporting event that brings the best of national beach volleyball to our coast, transforming Pulsano into a stage of excellence for athletes, enthusiasts and tourists.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the Amatory Volley Pulsano company, promoter of the initiative, and to the Pro Loco Pulsano, for their precious collaboration and tireless commitment to the organization.
The event has received the Patronage of the Puglia Region and, of course, of the Municipality of Pulsano, confirming the importance it has for our territory.
This is an extraordinary opportunity not only to experience sport at very high levels, but also to make the beauty of our sea, our hospitality and our identity known throughout Italy."
