On 05/13/2025 the Municipality of Pulsano was awarded the Blue Flag 2025.
The words of Mayor Pietro D'Alfonso:
"Today is a special day for our community. A date that will become an integral part of Pulsano's history: the awarding of the Blue Flag 2025 represents a historic milestone, a highly prestigious recognition that rewards the commitment, vision and passion with which we are building the future of our country.
This is a result that should make us all proud, but it cannot and should not be considered a point of arrival. On the contrary, this recognition marks the beginning of a new, more ambitious path, towards increasingly higher objectives in terms of quality of services, environmental sustainability, tourist reception and enhancement of our wonderful natural and cultural heritage.
I dedicate this important milestone to the entire community of Pulsano: to the entrepreneurs who, with a spirit of sacrifice, continue to believe in our territory by investing resources, time and energy; to the voluntary associations that daily animate the social fabric with passion and civic sense; to the residents, custodians of the beauty and identity of our town; and to all those who, even if they do not live in Pulsano, love and respect it as if it were their own home.
Intense months await us, made of commitment, responsibility and administrative obligations, but we have shown that we know how to work with competence and determination. A special thanks goes to the municipal offices that have worked with great dedication, and to all the members of the majority and the municipal administration: it is thanks to a shared vision, cohesion and teamwork that today we can celebrate together.
This recognition is also a sign of redemption after the wounds left by the devastating fire that hit Lido Silvana on July 30th. Pulsano reacts, Pulsano is reborn. And today it does so by proudly waving its Blue Flag."
