The Archaeological Museum of Pulsano (MAP) is located in the premises on the first floor of the Convent of the Friars Minor or Reformed, founded in 1700 by Nicolò Sergio Muscettola. The complex of the Convent, restored and returned to the community of Pulsano, is a multifunctional cultural hub that provides a detailed view of the local history thanks not only to the MAP but also to the Library and Conference Hall located on the ground floor.
The Museum houses collections of artifacts from the main archaeological sites in the area. The exhibition allows visitors to appreciate, in particular, the materials from the contexts of Torre Castelluccia (a protohistoric settlement and necropolis) and Luogovivo (a Roman villa), as well as those from the necropolises of the Greek chora. Along the exhibition route, which is also accessible to people with disabilities, multimedia totems are placed to facilitate the museum visit, with particular attention to children and students in school age.
